On Tuesday August 31, my father passed away at Northwest Community Hospital following a short series of medical setbacks that began with Hernia surgery some 2 and a half weeks earlier.  He was surrounded by my three sisters and myself when he died. He was 75 years old.

His funeral was held at his church, Trinity Lutheran Church of Rolling Meadows.  The funeral service was beautiful with Dad's grandchildren giving the bible readings, acting as pallbearers, assisting in communion, and leading His procession into church.

He was buried Sept 4, in Memory Gardens in Arlington Heights.  He is buried next to his beloved twin brother Russ, and family friend Dan Hagemeyer. He had a spectacular life and was loved, and will be missed  - by many.

Picture top right was a very recent picture of my dad taken in our backyard about 6 weeks before he died .  Picture below is of my family at Dad's Wake.  I was so proud of how they honored my dad with their respect, love and strength.
