On
July 15th, a beautiful hot summer afternoon, we attended the wedding of
Chris & Rachel Donan
Rachel is our niece, as she is the daughter of cousin Sue Tomczak and husband Joe. (Remember that Sue's father and my father were identical twins - so genetically they were the same guy. So, in my book, that makes Sue my half sister and therefore, Rachel my niece!)
They were married in a lovely ceremony at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lisle and following the ceremony had a gala reception at the Marriott Oak Brook.

During the wedding, Chelsea & Allie Gray both sang beautifully. Rachel & Chris looked so very happy as they took their vows flawlessly. Rachel is a school teacher in Plainfield Illinois. Chris works for AT&T and looks like a great guy but I don't have the slightest idea what he does for a living. But whatever it is - he looks like he does it well. He comes from a great family who partied as hard as Rachel's side the whole night. They are honeymooning in Mexico.
The couple will make their home in Naperville and rumor has it that they have bought or are buying another residence close to where they live now. Sorry I am not more definitive, but both Aunt Joyce & Cousin Barb couldn't help me with any detail!

upper right is of the happy couple during their first dance. They danced
to 'Love Me Tender', though I'm sad to report it wasn't the King's version. As you can see
Rachel is absolutely Beautiful. Picture to the left is favourite
Auntie Joyce cutting up the dance floor. She looked great - though I am
not sure she had
a partner for that particular dance.
Picture to the right is of Allie & Chelsea Gray who sang a beautiful duet at the wedding. Later in the service Chelsea sang a solo that was angelic. Very talented girls who clearly take after the Johnson side of the family.
There are 3 more pictures below with the first one featuring Chris cutting the cake while Rachel vamps it up for the camera. below that is a beauty of Rachel with brothers Doug & Joe and sister-in-Law (and wife of Joe) Stacy.
And finally, the last snap is of the female Cousins/Aunties/Spouses on the Johnson side. Collectively, a lot of husbands have been tormented for a lot of years by that group - but they look pretty innocent here.
