After attending my Godson Ricky's wedding in Spokane, Kathy & I swung by Las Vegas for a couple days and met up with our friends

Thomas & Antje of Frankfurt, Germany

Thomas & I had worked together at Marconi and we had not seen each other since Chrismastime of 2004 when he and his lovely wife Antje had taken me for a tour of the beautiful Frankfurt Christmas Kindl Market.

Both of us have long moved on from Marconi - but we have stayed in regular contact.  Thomas & Antje love visiting the US and have taken several extensive tours - mainly in the American West. They both are excellent photographers who have taken eye-popping photos chronicling all of their trips.  Thomas produces an annual calendar that features his own photos and I have never seen anything so well done.  It is extraordinary.

Several months ago Thomas had proposed meeting up with them in Las Vegas  during their American holiday and we thought that would be an excellent idea.  We stayed at the Excalibur Hotel and saw the sights of the strip and visited the Lion & Dolphin exhibits at the Mirage.

It was absolutely great to see them and we have pledged that we will meet again soon - my wish would be at this years Christmas Market in their home town.
