Finally showing the class of his Sire and his Twin,

Pop is a maiden no more!

Setting the scene, a blue Florida sky wrapped wide over Tampa Bay Downs, this Sunday, January 25th. We were entered in the 6th - a 32k Claiming race at a mile and 1/16th on the lawn.

Frontier Force, better know by his nickname Pop, is a big, rangy 3 year old bred by our friends at Team Block by the great sire Fort Prado. Together, Team Block and our Princess Kathy Racing, own this big striding colt, and we watched with anticipation as he competed this day.

Pop's twin brother Russ, officially named In The Chamber, watched the race intently from his Stall TV at the New Orleans Fair Grounds.

Facing a large field of 10, Pop broke alertly out of the 9 hole and settled quietly at the back of the pack. New jockey Antonio Gallardo, expertly positioned him on the back stretch and as they approached the second turn, roused our boy who started picking off horses one by one.

At the head of the stretch, track announcer Richard Grunder blurts out "And Frontier Force Is Absolutely Full Of Run!" as Jockey Gallardo split horses to produce our mule down the stretch gobbling up the turf as he bounded down the lane. What a victory!

Great job Dave & Pat Block on Breeding this boy

Great job Chris Block on training this Boy

And way to go Pop!
