On a joyous morn of February 2, the family gathered for the TWIN Baptisms of

Addison Kiku & William David!

Addison is the 5 month old daughter of our son Ben and wife Jordan.  She was Baptized along with her cousin William - infant son of Jordan's sister Olivia and her husband David.

They were baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palatine at the 10:30am Service. Jordan's parents, Jon & Susan, are members of this church and it brought back loads of memories as both my sisters Laurie & Nancy were married there - in the prior century.

Our entire Johnson family was there, making it a great opportunity for an entire family photo.  So was Jordan's family - so we got plenty of snaps of them as well.  David had his parents there, along with his brother and his wife.   

I was also happy to see my sisters Laurie and Nancy in attendance - as this is not their home church.   But who wants to miss a Baptism - or two?

As the Waters of Baptism were poured over them,  Addie let everyone know she really wasn't expecting that - while William was sleeping and stirred not an inch as The Holy Spirit descended upon them!  

Heaven broke loose in Jubilation and Song as these two cherubs were added to Christ's flock!

Following the service we took pictures and headed to Jon and Susan's home in Palatine for a lovely luncheon and great fellowship amongst the Families. 

 Sadly, Bryan & Sabrina's son Thor was ailing so they headed home after the service. But everyone else came by for a lovely afternoon.

Jon & Susan had catered Portillo's, so you can imagine how good lunch was.  Susan also laid on some Salad and Veggy trays along with something yummy called a "Snickers Apple Salad".    

David's family made some delicious Pierogi's and other tasty treats.  Kathy added her Meatballs & Little Smokies.  And the Dessert Table was luscious!  A Baptismal Feast For The Ages!
