Following the impressive showing in her last outing at Keeneland, it was on to famed, money laden Churchill Downs where our 3 year old Filly,

GoldenAgeActress Broke Her Maiden!

Princess Kathy Racing's GoldenAgeActress, wired a full field of 12 in the 6th race on May 25th - at a mile and 1/16th on the Turf Course.  The race was a Maiden Special Weight affair and the purse was a whopping $120,000!

Disrespected by the handicappers and betting public, our girl went off at 13-1 and paid off her backers handsomely.

Piloting our Steed was Jockey Edgar Morales, enjoying a very successful Kentucky Spring Campaign.  His ride was Masterful.   Trainer Block had relayed instructions to him that there was not really any speed in the race.  So, he left it up to Edgar to decide to take back if someone wanted the lead - but if no one took it - go grab it ourselves.

And that's what Edgar did - busting out of the 3 hole, he hustled our girl to the lead - slowed the entire pack down along the back stretch and had plenty of horse down the lane to rebuff any closers.  Awesome ride - and brought back the memories of the Heroic General Charley as he won most of our victories running the same way.

As I watched the race from my box on the Finish Line, as they entered the stretch I started screaming "Let 'er Go!"  & "Turn Her Loose!"

People were staring at me wondering "Who's This Idiot?"  But as soon as we crossed the Finish Line, I screamed, "That's My Horse!".  Then they were jubilant too, reaching out for Handshakes and High Fives.

Sadly, our ownership partner Tim Keeley could not make it to Churchill for the race, and The Princess Kathy was reticent to remove her Toes from the Siesta Key Pool - so it was only me making the journey to Louisville.

But I am so glad I did.  We have NEVER before been in the Winner's Circle At Churchill - and once I got in there I wasn't going to leave until I got kicked out.  Utterly Magnificent!

After I finally left The Winner's Circle, (which was after the horses for the next race had already come out to the track), I headed over to the Track Photographer and picked up our Photo's.

A short Uber ride had me back at Louisville's Airport for my return flight to Tampa.   What a Day.

A shout out to Trainer Block and especially his assistant Martine who brought GoldenAgeActress to Churchill from Hawthorne.  Martine saddled our girl in the Paddock and it was great catching back up with him.

All Thanks and glory to god for blessing us with such a great day!

Thanks to Partner Tim, Trainer Block, Asst Trainer martine, and Jockey Edgar Morales!

Biggest Shout Out To GoldenAgeActress - A Maiden No More!

PS...Why is GoldenAgeActress' Daddy Street Sense Forever Emblazened On The Wall Of The Churchill Downs Paddock?

Because He Won The Kentucky Derby In 2007. That's Why!
