Well, Bro-In-Law Randy had the idea and it was an absolute winner!  Off to The Genesee Theater in Waukegan to see in concert...

Three Dog Night!

Thought they were all dead didn't you?!? Well they're not - though their founder (Danny Hutton) and co-lead singer (David Morgan) both clock in at 83 right now! And they put on a heckuva show!

It was Randy, Sisters Nancy & Laurie, Kathy & myself that piled into the Perryman Buick for the 40 minute ride north. 

Randy took an absolute risk by pulling up to a guy purporting to be a Valet and tossed his car keys to the eager attendant. 

I would have bet that the guy was going to drive Randy's Buick straight to the closest Chop Shop and we would be walking home.

During the show, Danny Hutton would preface songs with stories that were really good.  Watch the Video of "One" because he had his best story of the night prior to playing that "One". Their origins are from LA with their 1st hit in 1968. What a history!

They played for well over an hour and all of the songs were hits that brought back memories of 50 years ago!
