With the summer winding down, the Jones and Johnson families gathered for the Best and Last party of the season...

Addie's WILD 2nd Birthday Bash!

The theme was "Born Two Be Wild" which certainly captures the spirit of this Birthday Girl!  The venue was Jordan & Ben's mansion in Carol Stream.

Post time was 3pm, following Calvin Takashi-Armstrong's latest T-Ball game where Cal would have been voted MVP - if they actually voted for MVP's.

Kids abounded what with Thor & Ashton, William & Bennett, and Cal and the Birthday Girl Addie - making it a loud, raucous affair.  

On the Jones side, Susan & Jon's entire crew were their along with special guest Holly having flown in from Evansville.

Kathy and our mob were all their as well.  In fact, Bryan Sabrina and their boys made a whole day out of of it by cheering on Cal at his T-Ball game beforehand.

Jordan laid on an early dinner, anchored by a variety of Jersey Mike's sandwiches  and a collection of delectable salads.  It was important that dinner was conducted swiftly, as one look at the Prezzie table told you it was going to be a marathon Gift Opening session.

Luckily, Calvin had volunteered to assist in the gift distribution and he unwrapped the gifts for Addie in record time.  So many gifts with books, games, clothes, and everything in between.   My favourite was a fall outfit featuring a circa 1968 style Carnaby Street bell bottom trousers that our Addie Girl will absolutely ROCK!  Gimme Shelter, Baby!

After the Gift Barrage, Jordan brought out the Birthday CupCakes and we all gathered around our precious lille girl and sang Happy Birthday to her.  On queue, she dispatched the candles with a single volley.  So proud of her!

Although this was Addie's day, brother Calvin was getting us all howling with laughter.  Apparently, each night Cal will not go to bed unless Daddy (Ben) tells him a story about his brothers. So Ben tells Cal about the time in Italy where they tasted, for the 1st time in their lives, Sparkling Water.   

Well, when Ben tried some he spit it out and said never again!   But, during that same trip Ben was looking for some water and Bryan produced a bottle for him to drink.  "Not Frizzante, right?, Ben asked and Bryan said "No, Of Course not!"   

Well Ben took a long pull from the bottle, and of course, it WAS Frizzante, which got all the boys laughing at Ben.   

Well Cal thought that was about the funniest story he ever heard, so when everyone arrived at the Party yesterday, Cal would rush over to each newcomer with a cup of sparkling water and say "Have some water!  Not Frizzante".  And of course it WAS Frizzante and when the newcomer took a sip, - Cal would just howl with laughter.   I love this Rascal!

All too quickly the time went by and it was time to say our Goodbyes.   Thanks Ben & Jordan - what a party!
